Hey guys
right now I only have exactly 11 hours and 32 minutes left until my journey back to Germany begins.
I don't actually know where to start. It has been such an amazing time that doesn't feel like a whole year but a month at most. I will miss everything and everyone here so much!
It has been difficult at times but that was just a tiny tiny part of this incredible experience.
When we first arrived at Nga Tawa everything was just confusing and overwhelming. Our mentor Yvonne explained our whole work structure within 2 hours and showed us around the grounds. As you can imagine I hardly remembered anything of that the next day when we actually had to start working. But it did't take me too long until it felt like I've been there for years with the exception that I couldn't remember a single name (and I sometimes still struggle with the whole name-remembering thing).
Halfway though the second term I started working down at the yards basically all day and that's when I started to talk to people. People who I now consider friends and who I will miss heaps! They made this place feel like home. They are the reasons that saying goodbye is so hard although I don't want it o be a goodbye but more a "See you later" cause you can be sure that I'm gonna be back! It might not be for another few years but that won't matter if they will go by as fast as this year did.
See you later New Zealand, I'll miss you heaps but I'll be back!! ♥♥♥
